AJ Capital Partners' transformative Belle Meade Village development hit a major milestone. April 3 marks the last day of excavation blasting on the 15.5-acre development site at the gateway to Belle Meade, according to a release. AJ Capital revealed its plans to redevelop the longstanding Belle Meade Plaza site four years ago. Plans for the project include luxury condo buildings, more than 40 retailers and restaurants, a boutique hotel, an antique carousel, green space, public walkways and more.
The Nashville-based development firm began demolition of Belle Meade Plaza last year and started blasting in November. The Belle Meade Village site is now 50 feet below grade to prepare for a 900-space underground parking garage. The next milestone will include vertical concrete construction, which is now underway. Completion is expected in 2028. To mark the final day of blasting, AJ Capital launched its “Boom to Bloom” community giveback campaign. A donation will be made for each vehicle that passes by the Belle Meade village site on April 3, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Warner Parks to fund planting and conservation of native flora in Warner Parks.
